Alaska
Winter in Alaska was something I had been looking forward to for quite some time (15 or so years actually). After having the opportunity to go in the summer a few times, I always knew I would be back for winter…I just hate that it took so long. When my good friends Justin and Amy announced the were moving to Anchorage last year I was pumped knowing that adventure was coming.
I flew into Anchorage with Justin and was able to use their place as a home base for 10 days as they allowed me to borrow a car to explore. Check out the pictures below for some amazing views and beautiful scenery. ….Heres an overview of my itinerary (photos are in this general order).
Anchorage/Chugach State Park - we went cross country skiing and hiking
Drove Anchorage to Seward and back long the Turnigan Arm
Drove out to Wrangell - St Elias National Park
Took a few days with Justin and Amy and went to Willow, Talkeetna, Denali National Park, Fairbanks and Cheena Hot Springs
Spent the last day in Anchorage and checked out some frozen waterfalls and susnet over Prince William sound.
