Puerto Rico really surprised me. It was just as easy to get to as flying to another state (as it’s part of the US, remember) but it was akin to being in another country. The landscape reminded me a lot of Hawaii yet had it’s own unique feeling. Some of the highlights of my fast, wet trip were Cueva de India, El Yunque National Forest and San Juan National Historic Site. The whole island is lush and beautiful and I hope to go back with more time to explore.
